snes emulator

I got the snes emulator and it works alright, but I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make it, i dunno, not run slow. Every game I play on it plays slow, or the music is slow. I've tried a number of different settings with the emulator, sound quality etc, but it just either gets a little better, or alot worse.

I'm using snes9_xl or whatever its called...
