Digital TV provider UPC has announced a partnership with casual TV game network PlayJam, which will see the company's games reach an extra two million users across Europe.

PlayJam has provided content for UPC in the Netherlands for five years, but the deal will see its reach extend to Poland, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland and Ireland.

"UPC has recognised the added value PlayJam brings to a content provider, both in terms of increasing revenue generation and driving frequent and loyal usage," said PlayJam CEO Jasper Smith.

"We're delighted to extend our publishing platform via one of Europe's largest digital networks."

UPC becomes the latest partner to carry PlayJam's 500 plus TV casual games, joining Tesco's freeview boxes as well as some Sony and Samsung televisions. According to the company's own figures, PlayJam has recorded over six billion downloads in five years, experiencing a conversion rate of free to paying players of 56 per cent.
