News from the Downgrader Team:

Fixed a bug that caused premature bricking if the hack to force the unassign/assign of the flash failed. All sites mirroring the file, please update it to the new one.

this means that the chances of bricking with this newer donwgrader is reduced, simply put it's safer

when i download it all i get is "downdater271.rar" . no "mp root" or "photo" folders or anything.

because you need to extract it then put it on your psp

but its not a compressed file. its a .rar

Weren't you trying to downgrade really early this morning? And you didn't know to winrar the file? Surely you are joking?

yes you extract with win rar or winace
