    Default PSP Games Launch Dates

Yesterday, GameSpot reported updates to about half of all PlayStation Portable games due for December. Now, thanks to a retailer report made public in Japan, we have release dates for almost all of the remaining December games. Only Taito's Puzzle Bobble Pocket and Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour R remain dateless. [br][br][br]Fans of Space Channel 5 and Rez will have something to look forward to on the PSP as Bandai will release Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s Lumines on December 12. Mizoguchi was the creative lead on both SC5 and Rez. [br][br]Also making it on time for the handheld's release is Koei's Mahjong Taikai and Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed Underground Rivals. [br][br]The PSP will get its first fully featured RPG on December 16, which is when Bandai releases Eiyuu Densetsu Gagharv Trilogy: Shiroki Majo. Also hitting stores on the same day is Cyberfront's puzzle game, Kollon. Marvelous Interactive will release its three board games in the AI Series--Igo, Shougi, and Mahjong--on December 22. Since those titles are relatively simple products (and likely, more economical to produce), they will sell for thousand yen cheaper than standard PSP titles (which are coming in at 4,800 yen, or about $45). [br][br]An unexpected title that now appears to have made the December cutoff date is Sony Computer Entertainment's Piposaru Academia: Dossari Saru-gee Daizenshuu, a collection of mini party games that feature the Madcap Monkeys from the Ape Escape series. [br][br]As these dates come from the retail community, readers should note that publishers are prone to reschedule and shuffle dates, often before making an official announcement to the general public. But for the time being, here's how the December PSP lineup is looking in Japan.
