In the ongoing effort by Apple to expand the iPad's reach across the globe as much as possible before the end of 2010, now comes word that Northern Europe may be next on the list to see the tablet's arrival before the dawn of 2011. In recent days, many country-specific Apple pages throughout Northern Europe have begun advertising the iPad and carriers for 3G connectivity for the first time.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Nordic countries on tap to get the iPad include Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. So far, the regional carriers advertised to provide 3G service to new iPad owners are Telenor ASA, TeliaSonera AB, Tre, and Tele2 AB. It isn't yet clear if the iPad will be available through the carriers as well as Apple in Northern Europe, but it doesn't appear so. TeliaSonera, for example, says it will only provide 3G service for the tablet. It won't actually stock and sell the device. As of this writing, data plans and contract terms have not been confirmed
