Default disk drive pinout of board

    Hi guys,

I have been lurking for a long time but finally got the nerve to post

Been into gaming since the 1980's and love it, have been doing hardware mods and things for a bout two years now and love that too.

So my question is does anyone know the pinout for the gd-rom connector on the mainboard of the DC? I have looked around and haven't found it. I could be just not looking hard enough, but it still eludes me. I am hoping to make something really cool after I know the pinout

    Great to be here!

Six months ago!! I still haven't found what I needed, and I'm almost ready to ask somebody in China to reverse engineer it and get back to me. Okay, mioght nto go that far, but I really would love to get the pinout so I can emulate the disk drive with an SD card.

@ -x- that isn't the right pinout, it's not an IDE drive. Thanks anyway.

A very informative set of pages but not for the pinout of the DG-rom drive. It looks like TecToy knows that the GD-rom can be replaced, so they aren't letting that information out. Thanks for the reply, it gives more information thatn tech specs.

Time to start harassing TecToy to re=release the Dreamcast
