Default I've been out of the scene for way too long

I've lost my PSP about a year ago and I was at 5.5( I think). There weren't many games coming out admittedly that made me go out and get a new one. But I kind of miss my PSP. I wand a handheld again to take with me to college to have fun with during breaks.

Considering I can get a 1000 with 3.6 custom firmware, are there any tutorials I can follow to be able to play some new games? (ie installing the latest firmware).

    I really forgot everything.

What 3.6 CFW you got? either way, you might be able to get away with upgrading to 5.00 m33, then upgrading to 5.50 GEN D3.

Personally I recommend upgrading to 6.20 OFW and then getting the HEN for it: http://wololo.net/wagic/hen/. With the TN-C version of the 6.20 HEN, you just run the Homebrew Enabler (under Games/Memory Stick) and wait to be returned to the earlier menu, where you may play your homebrew games until you turn off your PSP (in which case you just run the HEN again).

The OP has a chance to get a PSP-1000, and personally if you have a 1000, 5.50 GEN D3 would be the best for it right now..

Yeah, I think I prefer 5.50 GEN D3 since that's what I remember using anyway. I'm guessing plug ins don't work with HEN? I actually liked cheats with my games
