A lot of gamers broke their console trying to disassemble the Slim and we are now releasing an X8 Unlock Tool Set (total of 8 pieces with special made screwdrivers) for opening Xbox 360 Slim™ consoles. I agree. Also, I've just noticed that the Xbox 360 slimline still uses those stupid x-clamps to secure the heatsink for the CPU. I wonder how long a console will last until it warps out of shape and fails?

About a year for the first slim models, or however long the warranty lasts? Microsoft have never made an error-free Xbox360 to date, unless by some miracle the slim really is what should have been released back in 05'.
