Long-running footie timesink Championship Manager is on its way to Facebook, publisher Square Enix has announced.
It's partnering with Jolt Online Gaming and GameStop to bring the game to "selected territories". No specific gameplay details or release date have been offered.
"Championship Manager continues to be an important franchise for Square Enix and we're excited to be able to bring it to new platforms such as smartphones and now Facebook," said Square's European CEO Phil Rogers.
The last run-out for the franchise was in October last year with the release of Championship Manager '11 on the iPhone. The future of the full PC incarnation of the series is in doubt, with developer Beautiful Game Studios electing to sit out the current season.
