    Default Have you ever met a magican?

    I have been a magican for a long time now. And then i asked myself. What would it be like if i was a normal person? It would be wonderful to experience magic with an untrained mind. I am stuck as a poor magican...

    I go and se all magic shows and go abroad to visit larger magican meetings.

    My quesion: What is you view of magicans? What is the best trick you have seen with your real eyes?

    If you like, i put some videos on youtube, if you wanna se some small tricks.

    And feel free to ask me questions about magic. And no, i wont tell how tricks are done...

    I like magic tricks and have always been impressed ever since I was a kid.

    There's something about the mystery of it which is cool. I like the street stuff that David Blaine did.

    I used to see quite a few shows when I was young, on holidya with me ma and pa but they were the cheesy, cutting women in half type things and stupid posing. Penn & Teller made it look much messier, and they showed you how some of them were done too. I guess you probably don't agree with that but I find it fascinating and very clever.

    I never got much beyond the magic pouch or svengali cards but tried abit when I was young. Didn't have the patience to practice though.

    My 6th through 8th grade science teacher was an ex-magician who did tricks all the time for the class. It was sweet.

    Now, while I agree that it's impressive what magicians can do, what they do are tricks. o_o They play skills the same way all of us do, just they add some mysticism to it and don't explain how it's done. Scientists, linguists, builders, poker players, fast food workers, all of them posess skills that I may or may not have and can use it in ways I don't understand. ^^;

    Maybe it's just the wording, but I find it odd at the suggestion of "what if I was a normal person?". You are a normal person. You just know how to take advantage of human nature in certain circumstances to misdirect, redirect, and make things appear different from how they are.

    I'm sure it wasn't intended that way, but.. o_o Yeah..

    I like seeing magic tricks - Derren Brown particularly - but I always try to find out how they were done. I know I should probably shouldn't, and just let myself be amazed, but I can't
