Default please help!! hooking gpslim236 to pc.

i just got my gpslim 236 today, and ill be making my cable tomorrow when the rest of my stuff gets here.

i was trying to connect my GPS to the computer but I'm having a heard time cause the manual is very short and doesn't seem to give good enough instructions i guess or maybe its just me. but what do i need to do to connect it to my PC? when i hook it up with the provided power/usb cable my PC says that it doesn't recognise the device. i then tried to use my psp's data cable and nothing happens. can some one help please?

You probably need an optional cable, which is not part of standard package...
    Try finding/boorowing a bluetooth adapter...

Yes there is... You can do it from many ways...

1 - buy the data cable
2 - build a cable from scratch (with usbtoserial converter)
3 - use a usb to serial cable and make an adaptor from to RS_232 (don't now this for sure) - probably u just need to buy the adaptor and connect tx and rx from the holux to it if the out put is 3v u might not need the level converter (just guessing) either way that shouldn't damage any of the parts if u try it...

The communications is RS232 (serial protocol) if u wnt a phisical connection u need a usb-to-serial adaptor... If u dont know what u are doing is better to stick to the bluetooth...
