Hello, Ive been considering using the PSP 2.71 to 1.5 downgrader and i have read that it can't be done with ta-082 boards.
I have checked like this picture shows:

After checking my PSP i found no sign of having a ta-082 board but i notice when i look in the top left that under a piece of metal their is something written on the board in gold text. I was just wondering if their have been cases where the IC1003 text is written on other parts of the PSP. The gold text has a gold vertical rectangle at the beginning of it.

ok what side is the gold ICXXXX number on, R Trigger side or L Trigger side?
Never heard of that before!
I've heard of this before. It's not a TA-082, but wait until someone else can confirm this.
i have a ta 82 and i have it written at the right side and abit lower down on the left side it's like pretty hard to see but if you take a close look you can see it says 1C0xxxx
If i were you i wouldent try it..
you can check if u have a 2.5 TA-82 by using 0okms Original FW2.50 TA-082 Check & Dump v1.10

But remeber there is like 4 different TA-82 Depending on what firmware you got youre psp with
or u could use his HardWare spotlight thing

OOh Hell Yea
I hate my 2.5 Ta082
I belive that one day an amazing hacker will discover a method to load homebrew from the XMB menu proberly by hacking the psps kernal memory..
