I was waiting $89.99 for americans :P
We didn't make a big fuss over those crazy 'spensive Japanese PS3 game prices announced yesterday, since it was pretty much a given that the US prices would be lower than the straight Yen-to-Dollar conversion, and it turns out that's exactly the case. Sony is matching Microsoft's main Xbox 360 pricepoint at a "mere" $59.99, with all 7 games now available for pre-order at the Sony Style online store. Sure, we wouldn't have complained if Sony somehow decided to undercut MS on next-gen game prices, but we suppose that's wishful thinking at this point. Ah well, there's always the Wii, right?
That's for 1st party games I take it. I bet 3rd party games will be $70.
Did you read it saxdude? It says match xbox 360... and it says all (so far) launch games... which arent all first party.
Dang, $60 is a cut into the wallet. I don't really care though because PS3 is going to be the solution to all of my problems. Not to mention alzheimers. That's just great.
Wow. $59.99 per game is not a price I can afford.
OK I'm not really sure where to post this becasue there is no PS3 discussion board but if homebrew works on PS3 then it would be so sweet to get a Gamecube and Xbox emulator with more backwords compatibility than xbox 360 hahaha. Sorry for the random post again.
