Cool Getting started with NDS Emu, Homebrew!

OK I'm want to get started with NDS homebrew but I have lots of questions. Sorry, but please help a brotha!

I understand that you need a GBA Flash Cart and a flash linker or something for the DS slot. Right? And what are my best choices for those? How do I find out what version will work with my DS (it's an original DS first firmware I'm pretty sure. I got it for Christmas in 2004)? What's a CLEAN REALIABLE site that my mom will feel comfartable ordering that stuff from? I want to play homebrew and NDS and GBA roms (NOT PIRATED!!). How big is the average NDS ROM and how big is the average GBA ROM? I want a device that can read NDS or GBA ROMS from the following: Compact Flash card, SD card, and I've heard something about using thumb drives... I want the CHEAPEST solution and I do not want anything that will screw up my DS in any way.

    Please help someone.

Ok if you have an original Nds not the Lite verison. The easyest and best way to go is with the M3 SD card. And the average game for NDS is about 10- 134MB and for GBA its 5-35MB per game

    The M3 Perfect Slim version.
M3 Adapter is made for those who want to download freeware games, movies and music from a PC to a GBA(SP) and/or Nintendo DS. You can use your PC and normal Compact Flash Card Reader to transfer and convert you movie & music files to the Compact Flash Cards. Then, insert M3 Adapter with CF/SD Card into GBA(SP) or Nintendo DS, and the files will be available after boot up of the console.

Its features are just the same as any other MP3 Player on the market but also playing games and movies instead of playing music only.

One of the coolest features of an M3 Adapter is that you can directly run third party software on it – that includes emulators of the video game system.

Is this a good SD card to go with it: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDSDB-...&s=electronics

That'll cost me $90 for SD card plus the M3. Wow.. you sure it'll be perfect? Plus, how do I transfer stuff to my SD card? Do I need to buy a connection slot thingy?

EDIT: Wrong link to SD card.

You need an SD card reader. Like 5-10 dollars.

The m3 is great, trust me.

Yeah basically, You need something for the DS Slot, Passcard/Passkey. Something for the GBA Slot M3, Supercard, etc, and SD card that goes in the M3/SC and a Card reader.

If you have a DS Phat, obviously stay away from any flash carts that are "Lite" as they wont fit, You could get a M3 CF and SD Card, but it sticks out your DS even if its a phat one, so I'd say get a M3 Slim that used MiniSD Cards (not the same as Micro ) or a supercard that works in a similar way.

For a DS Phat i would recommend the Supercard Mini SD and a Superkey with a 1gb Mini SD for a flush fitting solution.

I would get the M3 but it's too expensive. So that's out of the picture.

Supercard Mini SD and Superkey with 1gb Mini SD? How much will that cost me?

EDIT: What's the point of getting a Mini SD instead of an SD? SO it's not so bulky? If so, I don't care if it's bulky.. So I'll probably be getting the normal size SD model and a normal SD if that's the case. So would these be the things to buy?

    SD Card: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDSDB-...&s=electronics

    Super Card SD: http://www.jandaman.com/Merchant2/me...Category_Code=

    Superkey: http://www.jandaman.com/games.mvc?p=...code=NDSDEVKIT

Remember I want to play DS game backups/homebrew and GBA game backups/homebrew.
