I'm really sorry to be the noob, but im a bit confused as to what this does...
I currently use Harleyg's custom firmware 0.1, and i understand the custom firmware side, but if it is a 2.71 special edition, and can only be run on 1.5 psps, im lost....
is it that it loads 2.71 fw once installed, and that this modified 2.71 can load 1.5 eboots? do you still have to patch the memory every time you want to run homebrew? am i completely in the wrong area?
really sorry, just i want to use this, sounds good, even though im not 100% sure on what it is :P

okay so this makes your 1.5 into 2.71 with hen rev whatever and makes your 2.71 a 1.5 with 2.71 capabilites and 1.5 capabilites?
SO can we have a new thread of reported homebrew working or not working with this!?
this is major- is this the breakthrough- making the 2.71 fw a 1.5 fw- meaning, all the features of 1.5 and 2.71 combined??
Dammit!! I had a 1.5PSP, did everything exactly, (no TA-082) and it still bricked, luckily I have a second PSP but even still I'm UBER pissed off.
If I understand this correctly, this is geared towards 2.00 + PSP's right?
I mean what benefits would this give you if you already have a true 1.50 firmware PSP?
This is obviously amazing work. Dark_AleX once again comes through on an unprecedented level for us PSP homebrewers.
Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so help me find out what I did wrong. I can't be defeated, my old PSP will just have to be modded with UP.
Only thing I thing could have gone wrong:
1. Dark_Alex's firmware (installed using xFlash) somehow messed up the install.
2. My custom gameboot.rco (the 2.0 PSP logo that looks cooler than 1.5's) wasn't changed back to original.
3...any suggestions?
$#@! I went into the browser used it for a bit then exited to see that my whole GAME150 folder had corrupted and I lost all of my homebrew. Oh well I backed it up a few weeks ago so im not that pissed.

I'm gonna sniff around the net for a while for brick reports, then i'm gonna try and install it.
Great work Dark_Alex!

would be good if someone make some flash wizard, it would ask question, with pictures, because this is really confusing, at least when im not sure how it works :-)
