I'm pretty sure they'll be spending a few months more as this will be the end all OS for the PSP.Originally Posted by pkmaximum
I see... Well thanks for the news Snipr. Maybe I will use this thing then. But hmmmmm... what difference does this really make in the end.Originally Posted by $n!pR
Also was it also announced that things like X-Flash will brick your PSP o_O. Because if that is the case. I think I will be happy with my 1.5 firmware in its current state.
Hmm... Upon further reading I have seen that it doesn't dump the 1.5 flash. However, if you want to be completely sure of a clean install, heed my warning.

EDIT: To all you "If it doesn't have UMD support blah blah" people, note this from the TODO section of the readme.
- Add native umd emulation support.
Edit2:
Just tried it, worked flawlessly, no issuesOnly special things I did other than the instructions was to write a 1.0 index.dat to the psp first, then run the update eboot to flash it to plain 1.5 first. I don't think that step was quite neccasary, but it's better to be safe then to be sorry

Well my psp came out just fine, i had custom firmware installed on my 1.5 and it worked, irshell works after you modify the param.sfo, with irshell more homebrew works than in the xmb,
Is it possible to return to origional 1.5?
I installed it on my PSP
1.5 (virgin) -> 2.71SE
So far I've tried snes9x me which worked fine from the GAME150 dir.
More as I try..

Do you have a bricked psp?
Should be, it has a recovery menu in which you can use an original 1.5 or 2.71 update EBOOT.PBPOriginally Posted by bullhead
