How do i update to 2.71?

I have a psp version 2.6 normal and I want to update it to 2.71 do I can downgrade it to 1.5. Does anyone know where i can get it and if its safe. I don't have GTA LBS for it so thats why i wanna do this.

Make sure you have a non ta-082 psp. Download the 2.71 update at http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=8046. Then use Dark_Alex's generic downgrader which is here. http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=38119

Yes, the eboot.pbp is for 2.71. Put it in an update folder in your games folder. Then just run it.

1.5 is still alive. Forget SE-A for now, just wait for SE-B, then I think we will need to update.

Hi there! sorry to bother you but i don't see an update folder inside my game folder. I created one for the eboot but my PSP says the file is corrupted.. is there another link that will help me update to 2.71?

Edit: Yey! Step 1 of downdate finally completed.. i was using a Jap version PSP so i had to download this file.. i'm pasting the link for those who encounter the same question.
