Hi people just been given a ps2 can anyone tell me what the differance is between ps1 & ps2 controllers ie are they the same thanks

the difference between a ps1 pad and a ps2 pad is that the ps2 pad has an analogue d-pad and analogue buttons which means that the harder you press them the more reaction you get on screen. for example if you play gran turismo just press the button down slightly and then a bit more and watch the difference. the ps1 pad doesnt have this capability.
