why cant downgrading be as easy as this?

how come someone just couldnt code something that could write to the flash and make it so the psp wouldnt restrict you from "upgrading" to an earlier firmware. like get rid of the "your psp version is x.xx , there is no need to update" message.

there is, its dark_alex's universal firmware installer...unfortunatly it only works for 2.71 and lower ><

it installs whatever firmware u want the same way that sony's updaters do it. but again....2.71 and >
