While one-fifth give mobile phones the cold shoulder.
Despite smartphones being used by 50 per cent of Brits and mobile devices accounting for 15 per cent of all online traffic, the UK's largest retailers are ignoring the market, according to mobile marketing agency Somo.
The firm examined the country's top 100 brands and found three-quarters don't support tablet users, while 20 per cent don't have smartphone platforms.
Specifically, just 26 per cent of the most popular online stores have an iPad app, while under a fifth have created Android tablet apps, and just ten per cent have a tablet-optimsed website.
The report says that big names such as PC World, Thomson and BHS are among the top 20 firms without any tablet or smartphone apps or websites, while just 57 per cent have a site that functions on mobile.
Additionally, the key consumer gripe was a lack of payment solution for apps and mobile sites.
