Apple announced the 25th billion download from the iTunes App Store with a lady in China receiving $10,000 of credit on iTunes for the download of app "Where's my Water?".
Fu Chunli from Qingdao in China picked up the prize for downloading the free version of Disney's hit puzzle game featuring Swampy the alligator.
"When we launched the App Store less than four years ago, we never imagined that mobile apps would become the phenomenon they have, or that developers would create such an incredible selection of apps for iOS users," said Apple veep Eddy Cue.
Apple took the opportunity to point out that the App Store now has over 550,000 apps to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. The company said over US$4 billion has been paid to app developers.
