The game requires no files from the game Halo combat evolved(which is 20$). It does require that the games disc be in your disc drive to play. It also requires your Halo Combat Evolved product key.

Thats as maybe but he originally asked for bits that are files from the game & a no cd crack, which is the bit thats not allowed

AKA FREE.... so there for the nocd crack is not illegel... thats like saying a free ware game is illgellel to play... all the crack does is makes it so i dont have to go thro the stash of all my games to find halo combat evolved all the time....

According to the license agreement, yes. It is illegal.

There should be a bit in there that goes a little something like this:

You may not reverse-engineer, dissassemble, decompile, or modify this product in any way. You may not create derivative works based on this product.

That basically says you can't use a no-cd crack.

Of course, I believe in this little philosophy called "don't ask, don't tell".

I can guarantee that at least 80% of all members here have all pirated some form of software. However, the difference is, they respect the forum rules and don't talk about it. They are capable of finding their own tools, and need not ask about in places where doing so will break rules.

But yeah. You're treading a very slippery slope, and if you keep on with this, it will most likely result in some form of a ban.
