Milestone reached in six days.
Creative photo app Instagram is riding high at the moment.
It has almost 30 million iOS app users, which enabled it to launch for Android last week, securing one million downloads in 24 hours on the back of 430,000 pre-orders.
Now, the Android app has passed five million downloads in the space of six days, a milestone it took six months to reach with Apple.
It's incredible news for Instagram, as this follows yesterday's report that Facebook has bought the two-year-old firm for $1 billion in cash and shares.
