Ok a friend of mine was nice enough to...
Let me update his PSP to 3.0 not 3.01 and I now have the firmware dump on my computer. Now can I do anything with it? Because I honestly want to help find ways of doing whatever with 3.0, so do I need certain programs or...well what do I do, basically?
File types: DIC (:rofl: ), BIN, pgf, bwfon, prx, dat, img, rsc, cbin...and a $#@!load of others..this is overwhlming, but I still want to help.

Oh yes, he crippled his friend's PSP. Now he'll just have to stick to good ol' fashioned UMD games. Terrible.
But, um... yeah. Homebrew-wise, he was screwed before and is still screwed. Just don't upgrade it anymore if you wish to use homebrew. Who knows how long you will have to wait until you can run it on 3.00, though.

thats well bad :\ if you didn't evan know that you could download the eboot instead of updating your friends psp :\ then i doubt your gonna have much knowledge of the psp firmware
