    Home/News Japan Sales: November 20- 26, 2006

    Source

The DS sells over twice as much as all the other hardware sales combined, nothing new there.

The PS3 drops its sales by near 10,000 but that is most likely because of lack of supply rather than demand.

Good news for the PSP and the PS2 near double their sales after a few weeks of declining sales.

With Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 released (selling 45k units) driving the Xbox 360 sales up to 7k, the question is how much will Blue Dragon will drive xbox 360 sales? It goes on sale on the 7 Dec.

    Next week: The Wii......

Those DS Lite numbers just floor me. I'm happy for Nintendo. Even if their Wii is not a major success, the DS Lite is giving them the freedom to stay in the game as one of the top, if not the top contender in the Video Game industry.

Its also good to see the PSP jump up in sales.

id say the Wii is very much experimenal so the sales dont matter, the losses do. at all else id suspect support for the Cube would rev back up if need be.

I disagree, the Wii is hardly experimental. I can only see Nintendo continue to gain proffits while Sony only continues to lose more and more money per PS3 sold.

Those DSLite numbers are crazy. Everyone in Japan has to have one by now, maybe even 2.

Thats all the Wii is is a money maker. Its cheap, effective and doesn't have too much in the way of next-gen tech (except for motion sensing abilities).

My friends have preferred it over the PS3 because its price. I don't buckle under such pressures though
