Online sales of electrical goods grew by 26 per cent in April, boosted by the lauch of the iPad 3.
According to data from IMRG, cited by ERT Online, the sales were the strongest seen in 18 months with UK shoppers spending a total of £5.7 billion online.
The figures represent a ten per cent year-on-year increase, which fell short of predictions, but it was noted that last April also saw strong sales.
Along with this, mobile sales saw year-on-year growth of over 353 per cent, credited to the increase in the number of retailers offering mobile optimised websites.
