apparently microsoft has changed servers.
if you keep beup on trying to connect, you'll eventually get :
'Connection to d2ef3641 failed'

maybe thats the server?^

someone might be able to change this into the new server...

But wat is the correct server because if i know the correct server then i might be able to change it, i am also making a new msn client for ds and i need to know the working server because i have the same problem with it, IF ANYONE KNOPWS IT PLEASE HELP!!!

It might be an idea to email someone at Miranda about this. They have been doing this internet messenger stuff for years and have got many protocals working through their Miranda IM.

I think if someone sends the code to them they might be able to iron out the creases [thats if they want to help at all]

Also i think it might be useful to know when the last working version of beup stopped working and check what microsoft were changing around that time.

Now ive made these suggestions having no coding knowledge whatsoever so your free to flame me if you wish, lol.

i connected to miranda with this ip and it worked, ive got the source but dont know where to fix it

It is sad that my first post here will be something like this. However.


It would appear that Beup is dead, I have been searching for a fix or even information about the problem for several days now and have found nothing but longdead threads in forums and broken links to the Beup and HtheB homesites. both of wich have apparently been abandoned by their previous owners.

Perhaps its time we forget about Beup and look for something new that wont let us down so consistently in the future.

Just my opinion really.

i wouldnt give up on beup that quickly, it just need some work by someone who knows what they are doing.
