This is great news but if I did have a TA-082 PSP I wouldnen't downgrade as theres a large risk yu could brick it and I would forget about not changing settings.

Hopfully soon we will have a more stable one.

Those guys in the beginning of the topic are right...
What is most impressive here? the downgrade itself or the fact that this topic don't have a 50post/sec. rate??
    LOL
Anyway... great news, now let's wait for the testers and see the number of success.
By the way, this could also work in that new motherboard too?

Yes, that is strange. But I think that goes to show that most people who frequent this site have already long ago gotten their hands on a homebrew capable PSP.

I've seen it posted that this downgrader will ONLY work on PSP's that came from the factory with 2.50 firmware originally.

    Is this true?

Anyway, this is a big step in the right direction. I'm very pleased by this development. It could be useful to me because I want to get a couple more homebrew PSP's and I may be stuck finding a TA-082 since non TA-082 MOBO's are harder to find.

    Default read about bricks

I read on pspupdates about some bricks. I read about 1 or 2 success's and about 4 bricks. I don't know if they didn't do it right or didn't have the right setup. It does say that your psp must have come originally with fw 2.5 on it. If you have fw 2.71 why would you downgrade to 1.5? You can pretty much do everything. I would think if you could run devhook why bother downgrading.
