Rumours are flying around the internet about what Google will announce at this year’s I/O event.
Not to be left behind after the recent announcements from Apple and Microsoft, Google are set to announce something big, but what? Let’s take a look at the most popular rumours on the net.
Jelly Bean
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is rumoured to feature a new search bar and background images. A Siri-esque ‘Google Assistant’ could be making its first appearance in the new OS update.
Nexus 7 tablet
Yesterday PCR reported details about a rumoured leak of the Google Nexus 7 tablet PC. The device is said to have a seven-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM, 1.2MP front-facing camera and a choice of 8GB or 16GB internal storage.
Built by Asus and with a budget price tag, it could be set to rival Amazon’s Kindle Fire. It is also rumoured to feature Jelly Bean.
Project Glass
There has been a lot of talk about Project Glass this year. Google Glasses in particular have proved a hot topic.
Featuring a low-resolution built-in camera, the glasses will be able to monitor the world in real time and relay data back to the user about their surroundings, including information about locations, buildings and nearby friends.
Google I/O runs from June 27-29 in San Francisco, the official live stream of the event is available atdevelopers.google.com/events/io/io-live
