You are not kidding.
You can get one PMF converter here: PopcornX
The video must be 144x80 @ 29.976 fps
I used VirtualDubMod to make mine.
Codec matters.
DivX wont work, but "windows avi 1" does.
(I have tried a long list of them with the same results.)
Others do too, it only -seems- to matter when you watch the preview in UmdStreamComposer.
If it chunks out there its pointless to try further.
Separate the WAV and make sure its 16bit @ 44khz
Then Multiplex the 2 together in UmdStreamComposer from the UMD creation kit to create the 144x80 MPS file.
Convert the MPS to PMF using PopcornX.
You can test the icon in windows using the LANDE PMF PLAYER 1.0
Problem is I can never get one to work in the PMF Player or the PSP.
I use Raiden Project to test since its a small file.
Any retail PMF can be injected and work fine.
Comparing a retail working PMF to the ones I created in a hex editor shows the header to be very different.
I don't know if this means anything.
That's as far as I got.
