General games Jumpstart your vintage video game console museum

    via engadget

So there are video game console auctions, and then there are video game console auctions. This one would definitely fall into the latter category, boasting "Über 90 Telespielkonsolen" (over 90 video game consoles) and encompassing most of the glorious achievements and glorious failures of the video game industry. Sure fire winners include a Magnavox Odyssey, Virtual Boy, Neo Geo Pocket, Intellivision and Atari Lynx, with a NES clone thrown in there for good measure. In fact, the collection could probably be better defined by what's not included, which other than the exception of current-gen consoles is not a whole dang lot. Make sure you peep the read link for all bazillion consoles from their various angles, and if you've got a few grand laying around -- and can stomach the shipping cost from Hamburg -- why not give it a shot?

Virtual boy. I had one of those. It actually wasn't that bad-- that is, until it stopped working.

A couple of grand? With THAT many consoles the shipping cost itself would be $1000+! You would need a small fortune to be able to bid, let alone win this swag. I must say nein...

Ye gods... if you`ve been playing games for 25 years like I have you`ll remember with enjoyment the limited resources we had then but still had loads of fun with them ;-)

Now when (if it`s possible) will somebody develop an Amiga emulator for the DS? Thought that would make many people happy :-)

heh, I have over 100 Atari 2600 games that still work, and over 50 NES games that work, well they all work.

I don't have a big variety of systems, just most of the more popular systems, but I have a lot of them. Im gonna sell most of them to help me get a ps3, since I only need one of each, not 5.

cswallstreet....saddly... I had to rebuild a bit of my collection due to some dumb ******* that broke into my house... ripped off over 3K worth of electronics... very sad day!
I use to have the SNES but I never wanted to buy the pea-soup original gameboy
