With the Internet Browser of PSP, you can go on some obscure russian w4r3z sites without messing up your handheld

    Cool pfft..

This guy sounds like me. I wonder if I got high and posted this myself?, Oh yeah aside from him ripping off my style, his article is based completely in shameless fanboyisim' which come to think about it, is also my style... still I dissagree with his (non) points..
The psp has suffered since day one, sony simply waited too long to pull things together for the psp. meanwhile the ds kicked it's ass.
Thats not to say I dont like my psp. thats only saying I like my ds lite and its massive collection of comercial software better :/
Now come on people we need to clear the air here. yes homebrew is a god send. we love it' no doubt about it. But homebrew just isnt enough to compeat aginst the comercial market.. I love homebrew' you love homebrew. but homebrew isnt going to put the psp in the number one spot. its over the psp has lost to the ds, that doesnt mean its dead. but without a doubt it's not number one.... lets face it as a psp owner even I can tell you there are better things to spend money on right now

Now again I'm not an expert and there maybe a Sega CD emulator. I'll have a look around and see what I can dig up.
Yeah, about Sega CD and the PSP emulating older machines.... I guess its like how the first computers were the size of a ROOM. You had this HUGE computer doing what we would nowadays call minuscule tasks.

So the Sega CD may have not been very impressive, but the hardware used to run it was much older technology and harder to emulate.

Oh, I must also state that I think the PSP has a bright future. I don't know if it can overcome the DS Lite but SONY is better late than never on finally making the PSP what it should have been from the start.

The PSP homebrew scene will always be small in comparison to the broader commercial market. But however small we are, we should still try and expand, just like SONY is trying to expand its commercial success with the PSP.

I thank SONY for making the PSP. And I apologize to SONY for not supporting them as well as I should be commercially. But if SONY had implemented a lot of the stuff it can now do from the start, a lot of people may not have sought after homebrew alternatives.

The way I see it, the only reason to buy a PSP is for homebrew. The games and porn are extras.

indeed it is  it seems the psp is one of the most homebrew friendly consoles at the moment
and dont worry the homebrew scene isnt going to forget the psp any time soon. hell there still makeing dreamcast homebrew

All im saying is people tend to get homebrew and the psp crossed. There not hand in hand. Homebrew was around long before the psp. and long before that we where playing emus and homebrew apps on other consoles

The important thing people need to remember. Is the homebrew scene is here to stay regardless of the status of the psp

People say that right now, wii homebrew is impossible But they said the same thing countless times about every firmware update the psp ever had

Trust me the wii will be exploited (without a mod chip) Its only a matter of time. The wii homebrew scene will overshadow the psp homebrew scene in unimaginible ways

All I want is for people to understand that just because, if and when the psp does truely die. That our scene will still be here serveing countless others on multiple consoles, for a long long time to come

I couldn't have said that better myself.

Capcom and Konami will bring the PSP back this year, no doubt about it. And Sony's little screw up with the PS1 emulator helped us homebrewers, and really can't hurt Sony all that much, we are not a huge part of the commercial market anyway.
