Samsung has today launched its latest addition to the Galaxy Note range.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a 10.1-inch display screen, a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM.
Samsung boasts that its new tablet has the functionality and precision of a pen and paper, and will inspire a ‘culture of active content creation’.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 includes a new Multiscreen feature, allowing two different applications to be used side-by-side simultaneously, something that currently isn’t possible with the tablet of all tablets – iPad.
The idea Samsung are trying to put across with this new feature is that web pages and videos can be viewed on one half of the screen, and at the same time the other half can be used for writing or sketching ideas.
And how are you supposed to write out all your incredibly important ideas? Well, Samsung has added a 6.5mm S Pen, which has been designed for an ‘optimal experience’ i.e. it will feel like a real pen.
Embedded directly in the device, when removed the tablet automatically launches specially optimised applications, such as S Note, S Planner, Crayon Physics, Adobe Photoshop Touch, and Polaris Office. Fortunately, users can set their preferred app to be launched instantly, rather than wasting time closing the ones they don’t want to use.

Other specs include:
- Android 4.0 OS
- 5mp rear camera
- 1.9mp front camera
- 3.5mm ear jack
- Bluetooth 4.0
- USB 2.0
- 16/32/64GB user memory
