Rev Gates labels Nintendo the "toughest competition"

    via cvg

Internet reports have picked up on an interview broadcasted on Japanese television station, TV Tokyo, in which Bill Gates cites Nintendo as the biggest competitor in the latest console war.

"The strength of Nintendo has been very impressive and surprised a lot of people. And [considering] the strength of the Wii - we see Nintendo as our toughest competition", says Gates.

Sony is widely considered Microsoft's main competitor in the console market, but it appears that Nintendo's recent run of success with both the Wii and DS has incited a turnaround in outlook for the company in the battle for supremacy.

i find it funny that he said people are surprised by nintendo's strength.... not a hidden company really.

and of course this is talking in a purely profit sense, the 360 is now caught between competition for HD console with sony, and competition for sales with the Wii
