Unable to resist the growing tablet market, US retailer Best Buy is entering the fray with new device the Insignia Flex.
It is, of course, unlikely to ever be widely available in the UK, given that the retailer had to close it's 11 UK stores in January this year.
The Insignia Flex is due to appear in November. It's an Android device, with a 9.7-inch screen, dual-core 1GHz processor and a ten-hour battery life. Reuters suggests that it will have an RRP of $239 to $259.
Best Buy failed most visibly in the UK, but it's reportedly been struggling in the UStoo. It posted a loss of $1.2 billion in its last financial year and had to close 50 stores.
Founder Richard Schulze, the founder of Best Buy, is attempting to buy the company, but the news has not been welcomed and share prices have been unsteady as a result.
