Games studio Thumbstar has mostly been dipping its fingers into the publishing pie recently to offer its third party clients wider distribution channels.
However, it has put its development hat back on for new title, The Adorables, and has teamed with Microsoft to make it an exclusive Windows 8 product, which will be available for phones, tablets, and also PCs.
The Adorables is an arts & crafts style puzzler with a manga fusion, offering up more than 60 levels that feature hidden collectables and tasks.
Gareth Edmonson, CEO, Thumbstar Games, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be among the line-up of apps for the Windows 8 launch.
"To be part of the next generation of portable gaming with such an established and focused company, especially with such cutting edge technology involved, is a truly great opportunity for us."
Anand Krishnan, senior director, Developer and Platform Group at Microsoft UK, said: "We’re thrilled to have worked with Thumbstar in reaching an all-important milestone: a first title that has been developed entirely in-house.
"We’re really excited to support app builders such as Martin, Gareth and the rest of the Thumbstar team in creating games that consumers are going to love."
