Tools provider also adds cross-platform support for Microsoft's latest mobile OS

Developers using the AppMobi SDK will now be able to produce Java and HTML5 apps for Windows 8 and its mobile equivalent, Windows Phone 8, from the same code.
AppMobi’s move comes a day after the launch of Windows Phone 8 – more coverage on Develop’s sister site Mobile Entertainment.

New app templates provide developers with code for supporting generic apps, web apps, accelerated games and Facebook apps. Developers can use these templates to create cross platform apps immediately by visiting AppMobi’s gallery.
AppMobi has also integrated Windows 8 and its mobile version into its appHub cross-platform build tool so that apps can be built into app store-ready files for iOS, Android, Facebook, Windows Phone, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Mozilla app stores.
“Hundreds of thousands of developers who use AppMobi to build apps with JavaScript and HTML5 can now port them to the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 with a simple rebuild,” Dave Kennedy, CEO of AppMobi.
