With millions of day one sales, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was always going to experience a couple of hiccups.
Sadly for owners of the PS3, both of the early issues are dogging only their systems.
Some players have taken to the European PlayStation forums to complain of online connectivity issues when attempting to access Black Ops II’s multiplayer mode.
“We are aware of connectivity issues that some players are facing in Black Ops 2 on PlayStation 3. We are working on resolution,” is the official response from Activision support, with Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar adding via Twitter: “We are indeed up and running, but we are also aware not everyone can connect. We are investigating something with our partners at Sony.
“We are currently testing backend matchmaking changes that we think can help with this. I don't have a timetable, or I would tell you. The ‘Waiting to balance teams’ thing is something else entirely. More on that shortly.”
Elsewhere, other PS3 owners have taken to the ‘net to claim that their DLC codes aren’t working properly, preventing them form accessing Nuketown 2025 and Nuketown zombies maps.
Bear in mind, of course, that Black Ops II has already sold millions of copies, with the vast majority of customers enjoying a trouble-free experience.
