EA has revealed that development of The Lord of the Rings: The White Council has been suspended, not completely canned as earlier rumour suggested.
According to report on GameSpot, Warren Jenson, EA CFO, said of the game that "The Lord of the Rings product is back in development in terms of being on hold," during a post-earnings call yesterday.
Jenson's answer was given in response to a question on whether The White Council had been binned.
He went on to add that the game won't release until after March 2008. The RPG has previously been confirmed for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
EA's UK arm was unavailable for comment on the future of The Lord of the Rings: The White Council at the time of writing.
