HMV refuses PS3 pre-orders unless you buy a PSP too

HMV's online store is now taking pre-orders for PlayStation 3 - providing consumers are also willing to purchase a 4GB PSP pack for a total price of GBP 675.

An email sent out to customers today says the deal will enable them to become one of the "lucky few" who will be able to pick up a PS3 at launch. It reads: "At HMV.co.uk, we've been working with Sony to offer up to 5000 customers an incredible deal when you buy the new Sony 4GB PSP.

"Anyone who takes advantage of this offer will get priority over other HMV.co.uk customers for the PlayStation 3." The deal also includes two PSP games - Killzone Liberation and Gangs of London - and the price for the bundle is listed as GBP 674.99.

We dont have target or gamestop in the UK.

I think HMV are being a bit harsh here though.

Well I have the felling that, more and more Merchants will try to shaft us w/a PS3™ & PSP™ combo.

Take amazon.de (Amazon Germany), for example.
They're doing the exact same thing!

And S0NY Computer Entertainment Europe have the audacity to tell it's Punters that the have the Right to shop around to find: "To find a Package that's right for them".

...Well you know what?!
I already have, it's called a XBOX360™. I didn't have to freeze my Arse off to get it and I needn't Mortgage the House for it either.

I never realized just how arrogant these Pricks were.
If i ever had a thought about getting a PS3 before I'd have to think really REALLY hard about it now.

I hope the PS3™ tanks as hard if not harder then the PSP™...

I am just glad that I have bought the Xbox360 instead of waiting and getting ps3, I already have a PSP so this news sucks anyway for everyone....

Makes me not want to buy sonys games and just start loading iso's. The whole you cant download ps1 games for the psp without a ps3 thing really P***ed me off. SONY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Sony is really F***ing theirselves lately. I think the would sell more units if they worried more about customer satisfaction instead of making money and beating Nintendo and Microsoft.
