PC peripheral firm Razer has at last detailed its gaming tablet, which is now going under the name of ‘Edge’.
It was first revealed a year ago under the name Project Fiona.
The high-end device will run Windows 8. At the heart of it is a standard tablet that can be used with a range of accessories such as docking stations and keyboards to provide for a ‘full’ PC experience.
However, the star of the show is the Gamepad Controller which sees one analogue stick controller (that looks very similar to the PlayStation Move’s Navigation controller) placed at either side of the device.
The machine will come in two different SKUs, neither of which are cheap.
The entry-level model will cost $999 and houses an Intel Core i5 1.7GHz CPU, a 1GB GT 640M LE GPU and 4GB of RAM.
The Pro model will retail for $1299. It ups the specs to an Intel Core i7 1.9 GHz CPU, a 2GB NVIDIA GT 640M LE, 8GB of RAM and either a 128GB or 256GB HDD.
