    Default Removing Update Icon

Is there any way to remove the UMD Update Icon under the game menu when you have a UMD inserted in 3.10 OE-A? Don't want to accidentally click on it...

    Thanks.

There would be no reason to be worried, your PSP thinks it is running 3.10. I do not think there are any UMD games with a higher firmware on it yet.

Your psp will just say, "u r currently running 3.10, there is no need to update" or something like that.

no offficial updates can run on OE anyway, so dont worry

if you do try you get a DADADA error or something of the sort...

If you want just spoof your firmware to the highest firmware currently out, and unless you update your custom firmware in the future, there is no need to spoof it down. And there won't be any accidents if your firmware is spoofe to lets say 9.99 because the offical SONY update will simply just not run =]

It will ask you to agree to the update anyways so you can always say no if you do select it.

version spoofing will not work on OE, because it is written to systemctrl.prx/vshctrl.prx (Depending on the version) and not index.dat, so the psp still thinks its 3.10, even though it says 9.99

what accordion said is correct, when any official update attempts to run you will get 'An error has occoured (DADADADA)'

this is because the 1.5 bootstrap doesnt have the updater keys, so running an update could damage your psp
