    Default GPS test data

Worked like a charm on the airplane, pilot said he doesn't mind using the GPSreceiver above 18000ft.

I've recorded a couple of sessions, see attached...

nice, how hard was to acquire a fix on the plane?
Which unit do you have? 236 or 240?

I have a 240 and acquiring the signal was 5~10 minutes.

On the other hand, I am in Tokyo at the moment and I can not believe how bad the "reception" is. It takes an awfully long time ( 2~5 minutes ) to get a fix and in the best case I get 3 sats only. Also, for some reason the reading is very sporadic and errorous. This is from an open garden in Tokyo!

hmmm, USA seem to have opposite results:
    240 works better than psp-290...

Here in London I've never got more then 7 sats (3 fixed) and depends the weather can be quick (1 min) or slow (5min-8min).

Maybe fixing becomes faster when newer PSP firmware is available (so newer prx files) or if Maplus launches to the USA.

Actually this one the whole Earth, and it's only 46MB. Which should tell you that it's pretty limited. I skipp'd every 2nd level and the most zoom'd in shows only the biggest villages...

What kind of plane were you on MIB?

I imagine that if you had contact with the pilot it wasn't a huge jet liner?
