HP is reportedly in talks to enter the Android tablet market with a host of new devices.
ReadWrite claims that the world's second largest PC maker in considering a move into the Android tablet market after holding talks with Nvidia, with the possibility of using the firm's upcoming Tegra 4 processor in a high-end device.
Nvidia's Tegra 4 is one of the first quad-core processors, which is based on ARM's Cortex-A15 design.
A potential Android tablet from HP using the chip would make the device one of the fastest on the market.
The move would signify a move away from Microsoft, with the firm already offering a number of Windows 8 based tablets, including the ElitePad900 and the Envy x2.
HP has previously struggled in the tablet market, with the manufacturer's TouchPad failing to generate strong sales.
ReadWrite's report also hints that the firm in weighing up a move into the Android smartphone market too.
