Help to not brick my psp

I've been browsing your forums and I must say there is a great deal of helpful information.

With that in mind, i just had a psp modded to dark alex 3.03 oec. Yes i know that I am a noob for hiring someone to do this but the fact is that $200 is too big of an investment for me to risk messing around with the firmware.

Anywhos, I want to install homebrew to run in the 1.5 operating system such as emulators and what not. I am just worried that I might run something that will brick my psp. I am a complete noob and would appreciate any advice that you experts could give me

If it doesn't flash, you will have NO risk of bricking.

Emu, homebrew etc. will NEVER brick.
