Samurai Rush hits number one spot in Korea, France and the Philippines.
Launched just ten days ago by Chillingo and Samsung, the 100% Indie initiative has had its first number one hit in the Samsung Apps chart.
Developer Anton Hultdin has seen his hack ‘n’ slash runner game Samurai Rush race to the top of the Samsung Apps chart in Korea, France and the Philippines, as well as reaching the number two spot in Germany and Russia. It has also made the top ten across several other territories.
The 100% Indie project is aimed at helping to inspire and create opportunities for developers, offering them unprecedented revenue yields.
Hultdin commented on the success of Samurai Rush: “This was a nice surprise! I did not think my game would become so popular on Samsung Apps. It feels great getting all this positive response; it really encourages me to continue making games. I've had great support from 100% Indie on this. Their initiative caught my eyes and I'm glad I signed up!”
