Buying PS3 from japan

If i buy a PS3 from japan from a site that is in english will it be programed in english or i will i have to change a setting and also can i buy english Blue Rays nd PS3 games in england ?

ps3's are multi-regional so they will be able to play all games.

But, who knows, there might be a firmware update soon which means there put into regions.

If the firmware does change to regions, you will need to buy jap games.

As it will technically be a jap console.

I doubt it will happen though.

i think all games for the ps3 are region free, but moives are not! so if you get a Japanese ps3 you can only play Asian films

japanese are region 2 and so is the uk.

REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Resevered for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide, however, PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit.
