Double Fine has unveiled the final form of its Kickstarter adventure game, which it confirmed at PAX East today will be called Broken Age.
Formerly known as simply 'Double Fine Adventure', Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure game which follows the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives."The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back," the game's websiteexplains."Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue."Double Fine Adventure was one of the first titles to seek crowd funding via Kickstarter to cover its development fees.Tim Schafer's studio set a goal of $400,000 for the project, which it reached in mere hours. The Double Fine Adventure kickstarter eventually cleared $3.3 million.New backers can still submit funds via Double Fine's website, with $30 gaining access to the final game via Steam, a video documentary series, PC and Mac beta access and more.
