Before its closure, LucasArts was working a project that was to become the much-anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront III, and gameplay footage of that game has leaked online.

, the project was known internally as 'Version Two'.Not to be mistaken with the also recently leaked shooter Star Wars: First Assault, 'Version Two' was to feature FPS gameplay as well as ground and aerial vehicular combat, as the leaked footage shows.AT-AT Walkers, X-Wings, TIE Fighters and numerous other vehicles are shown in what appear to be large-scale combat scenarios in a range of different environments."[There's] a very vocal audience that's clamoring for Battlefront III," said a source to Kotaku. "We were hoping to eventually give it to them."
