Lawbreaking maverick hit with AU$110 fee.
Here at Mobile Entertainment we strive to keep news diverse, whether that's reporting about apps, the mobile web or brands. But every now and then we happen across news that makes the mind boggle, such as a man declaring he was using his phone while driving because his ex-wife was harassing him.
Of course, driving while using the phone is a massive no-no in most countries, and it turns out riding a pushbike while using your mobile is also illegal in Australia.
A woman riding an outlandish double-decker bicycle found out the hard way when police cut her phone conversation short and handed her with a AU$110 fine, according to the Adelaide Now.
A spokesman, commented: "Cyclists are vulnerable road users and are reminded that the road rules also apply to them."
